How I found a new dentist after moving to Albany – New Patient Testimonial
After graduating college and becoming a professional in the Albany area, I was looking for a new dentist, which led me to Maestro Dental Wellness.
The first step for me was doing some research about the practice online. When I came across Dr. Maestro, I realized that he has been practicing dentistry in the Capital Region for nearly 40 years. From there, I scheduled an appointment online by entering my name, email, phone, the consultation type and a brief message explaining why I was looking for a new dentist. Shortly after, I received a call from Erin, the Patient Coordinator in the office, and my appointment was confirmed.
On the day of my appointment, I arrived at the office and met with one of the dental hygienists on the team, Tara. Because this was my first appointment, we had a five minute meeting in a private office to discuss my dental history in person. In this time, I was able to give specific information about my teeth, like the fact that I had braces and Invisalign as a child. After this meeting, it was time to begin the cleaning.
Once I sat in the chair for examination, I received a few tests, like the pH of my saliva, a close examination and record keeping of my gum health and a precancerous screening for potential warning signs. After each test was complete, Tara interpreted and analyzed each result.
After my cleaning, Dr. Maestro conducted his examination. He read the results of the tests, looked into my mouth and gave me an assessment of the health of my teeth and mouth. After offering some guidance as to how I can continue to keep my mouth clean, my appointment was completed. On my way out of the office, I received a bag with a number of important items the practice recommends, like toothpaste, a toothbrush and a folder containing information on the best mouthwash and toothpaste to use.
My appointment at Maestro Dental Wellness exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, I felt this was the practice for me, given the values the team holds and the wide variety of services available based on my needs. I feel tranquil now that I know I have a team of professionals looking after my teeth. In addition, if I ever developed sleep problems, I know Dr. Maestro is someone who could offer guidance and treatment options.
