Maestro Dental Wellness has been an expert in both restorative and aesthetic dentistry for over 40 years in the Capital Region. To maintain proper dental health, there are a number of best practices and products that Maestro Dental Wellness can recommend, one of which is CariFree products, which we have been recommending to our patients for many years.
CariFree products are designed to help patients at high risk for tooth decay by creating an oral environment that is conducive to a patient having few cavities and a lower decay rate. We estimate the cost of the first three months of using CariFree products will be $76 and $56 for every three months thereafter if used as directed.
CariFree products are available for patients at our practice within Maestro Dental Wellness at 225 Great Oaks Blvd., Albany, NY.
Here are our favorite CariFee products along with some guidelines of how to use them:
PRO Gel 5000 1.1% (Formerly called: CT×4 Gel 5000)
- Apply a small amount (pea-sized or less) to your tooth brush and brush thoroughly for at least two minutes, three times per day. Expectorate and do not rinse, eat, or drink for 30 minutes for best results. You may use Treatment Rinse or Maintenance Rinse immediately after if recommended to do so.
Treatment Rinse (Formerly called: CT×4 Treatment Rinse)
- Use once daily (AM is best) after flossing and brushing thoroughly.
- Mix 5 mL of component A with 5 mL of component B.
- Vigorously rinse the combined mixture for one minute, then expectorate.
- Do not swallow the rinse.
- Do not rinse, eat, or drink for 30 minutes after use.
- Use the rinse until it has run out.
Maintenance Rinse (Formerly called: CT×3 Rinse)
- Use one daily (PM is best) after flossing and brushing thoroughly.
- Vigorously rinse 10 mL for one minute then expectorate.
- Do not swallow the rinse.
- Do not rinse, eat, or drink for 30 minutes after use.
- Use the rinse until instructed to discontinue.
Spray (Formerly called: CT×2 Spray)
- Spray 2-3 times in mouth as often as needed daily.
- Between meals and before bedtime is recommended.
